Glossy Ibises migrate widely and in Australia tend to be irruptive, moving to suitable areas after good rains. It is most common in Northern Australia and is a non-breeding visitor to Tasmania and to southwest Western Australia. This bird is one of about 10 that are regularly observed at Herdsman Lake near Perth. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: July 27, 2018.
