NOTES: Habitat: Wet, partially shaded growth of tall grasses along a ditch bordering a rice field. Remarks: A family group with a pair and four young. Two- or three-note contact calls and "PEEW" alarm note recorded. Contact calls and alarm calls were given by different birds. Also rcorded are faint peeps possibly of this species and a harsh contact note and a "subsong".
