This bird's notes are the emphatic, reedy, well-spaced ones. Generally is a single "wheeer". Also "wheerit-wheerit" or "wheerit-wheerit-dur-dur-dur, etc." Behavior: "preening, bill-wiping". Habitat: "a former beach, now replaced by Red Mangroves seaward and Black Mangroves landward. On the old beach itself were mostly Black Mangrove, White Mangrove, Coco palms, and some shrubs.
