Ship's radar on in first several seconds, creating a prominent background noise at approximately 50 Hz, and at lower levels for several minutes until it was turned off. Close individual, cut gain of UNQ-7a from normal 2 to 1 1/2, then 1, 1 1/2. Turned off radar, radio and new Navy Radar Transponder to get hash out of AC line.
