*male/female pair, dark backed picoides sp. w/ distinctive lightly speckled back, more rounded head appearance than bbwo, giving weaker “pwek” calls while actively foraging by flaking. Male w/ distinctive yellow cap. Pair in suitable nesting habitat, no fledglings or cavity found during careful observation, but likely breeders.
