Came across a pair of Rufous piculets in Panti. Video the male with yellow forehead, the smallest woodpecker around, size.....smaller than the typical flowerpecker. Observe how the male bird apply drumming as a communication tool in addition to calling to locate /contact its mate. The bird prefers palm or bamboo shoot taking advantage of the sectioned, hollow stems as sound amplifier.
