Bird was responding to playback of own call. One bird, either immature male or female. located in shelterwood harvest unit on road off FS 12 to Lincoln Valley. [After playback, the bird began by giving several "Flight Calls" (0:01-0:05, 0:11-0:12) and then a series of "Contact Calls" (0:205-0:215). The next two parts contain stereotyped songs (0:28-0:30 - one, 0:36-0:56 - three), and the latter part ends with a few "Contact Calls" (1:02-1:03). The fourth part has four more stereotyped songs (1:04-1:33) followed by several series of soft Contact Calls (1:37, 1:40, and 1:41-1:43 when the bird flew off). The last part has both "Flight" Calls (1:47, 2:11, 2:19, and 2:22-2:24 as the bird flew off) and a series of Contact Calls (2:21-2:22). Terminology follows BNA.
