Observation details

Continuing bird here since at least 11-Dec-2025. This is a small owl with a round, light-colored face with brown and cream streaks, dark beak, underparts pale with dark shaded areas; upper parts are brownish-red with white spots, and a distinct whitish Y-shaped area between the eyes. Today it was easy to spot about 15 feet up a eucalyptus tree just south of the paved path at about 32.28199, -110.73095.
