Observation details

Coordinates: 31.52507, -99.64722. Bird of the day, bird of the year. Seemed to respond to a bit of fussy Blue-headed Vireo playback I was using to look through the flock. We recognized it immediately. An incredibly drab gray vireo, with a thick bill, weak white eye ring, and single weak white wing bar. We obtained audio, video, and pictures with our cell phones. Christian was digiscoping. Incredible find. The most northeastern record in Texas, and doubly surprising in winter.
