Media notes
Nest site on exposed horizontal branch of Spotted Gum tree (Eucalypt), c.8m above ground. Chicks are looked after by all members of the group. Usually at least 1 adult close to nest. First two segments and voice announcement: Nest unattended, Pied Currawong on nest when young squawks loudly, adults respond quickly and drive PC away. Young then heard loudly as adult feed them, field note. Last two segments and voice announcement (9:41 on): A 2nd attempt by Pied Currawong to predate nest (see 071120 0505) calls from chicks in nest, adults and Pied Currawong, field note.
