NOTES: Same bird in cut #97RDAT20-09 recorded along back part of Trilha da Castaneira now after playback of itself and near marker #54. Bird was now 6-8 m away, seemingly on or near ground in very dense undergrowth. Eventually seen very well using tape playback, in response to which, bird approached and walked or ran several circles around me, and gave the same song. Typically went quiet when it moved, but then stopped to sing, often 20-25 cm up (sometimes higher) on downed logs, etc. No display, but pumped tail and expanded throat when it sang. A few high clouds, calm, 72¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
