Identified with help from the Kantori group to separate a juvenile gull from Vega. Notes from the group member, Dirk von Werner: "The first year gull is a Common Gull Larus canus - presumably Kamchatka subspecies. Sometimes they don't show any grey on the mantle throughout their first winter. Vega has distinctly different pattern on scapulars, coverts and tertials."
