What a wonderful surprise this was as I searched for SNOWs. Best look I ever had of a SEOW; it even flew alongside my vehicle briefly as I drove south on Thorpe Rd. I first spotted it sitting atop a plowed up snow ridge next to the grass line. It never ventured far from the road even when I got out for a clearer look with the binoculars. The other birds were nearby in the gravel road but the SEOW seemed to be focused on rodents in the field. I took a lousy iPhone photo just to remember the moment. A good camera would have been so amazing!
