4 p.m. As viewed from the bridge near the ranch house, active low in the vegetation at creek side. Responded to brief playback of song by coming up higher into nearby dormant trees long enough for a few photos. Thrasher, lacking curved bill of the CBTH, very rufous brown upper parts, bold black streaking on white underparts. Long tail, pale iris.
