Fantastic find by Tom Kerr earlier today. Refound by gull master Willie D'Anna at 215 pm. I was very lucky to be near Willie at the right time and got to watch it loaf and preen until it flew upriver at 240. gray brown primaries similar to mantle color. Thick black bill. Short primary projection. Dark smudges around small eye contrast with pale nape and crown.
