Story behind this photo. In the 1980's I (David Ekdahl) sometimes birded Santa Cruz and central California with Bill Anderson, who was a retired California Fish and Game field official. One day Bill was showing me some of his old photos, and one was this photo which he received from this old friend, Frank Reinalt. I knew the photo's significance so I requested a copy be made. The hand writing of the duplicate slide is my mine. The name Reinalt is significant to the Santa Cruz Bird Club because Elaine Reinelt is one of the its founding members. Frank Reinalt was probably her son, but possibly her husband, as both were named Frank.
