This is the result of a coordinated count among neighbors at exactly 7 am, because the Wood Ducks move around during the day. All counts were conducted at addresses on Mount Tom Road. The people that participated have been vetted as having expertise in identifying this distinctive species. The population in and around our neighborhood has been increasing for several years now.
