The blue with black-barred distal tail feathers of a BLJA, were tipped with white from R2 (minimal) to R6 (more white) as it landed. Dark R1, the central tail feather, was observed.

BLJA were noted about the feeder area. One BLJA was seen with splaying of it's wedge-shape tail just before landing on a feeder. The blue with black-barred distal tail feathers were tipped with white from R2 (minimal) to R6 (more white). R1, the central tail feather, was still dark in color. The white bar on the coverts can also be seen on this distant photo.
