WEME visual 2 fly from grass to oak tree perch, appear to be avoiding a COHA that was perched nearby and flew elsewhere; female by malar apterium PYLE. 2022. ID Guide to NA Birds 2nd Ed, pg 546, Fig283; the three photographs of same individual match closest to a female. FYI for Errata: PYLE 2022 2nd Edition, pgs 547 and 548 WEME, I could not find a Fig 284-D under subspecies text for Eastern meadowlark and Western meadwolark subspecies text is missing; however, I did find Fig 284-A thru C within the Eastern subspecies text. It appears Western Meadow subspecies text accidentally left out so if added, the text may have Fig 284-D. I will send this to Errata corrections. Stewart Fletcher, Photographer
