Photos. Small geese with short, stubby bills, steep foreheads, flat crowns; two subspecies of Cackling are present: lighter breasted Richardson's and darker breasted Tavern's. Birds in long string of CAGO: two birds were on one part of string while a third bird was on the other end of the string. Birds flushed off pond at 4:05 by one of two BAEAs present. This is one of the few times in Boone Co. that I have observed more than one Cackling Goose.
