Count by individuals, then cumulative estimates of large flocks by 10s, then 25s, 50s and 100s. Photos include two shots of an individual bird infected with avian influenza (head closeup shows glint of nasal discharge, and single view of full bird shows awkward and unsteady stance during brief movement). Also, the speck-in-distance photo shows this sick bird's separation from all the flocks. BTW, this was one of at least 3 similarly ill Cacklings, in addition to 4 dead birds, one on land and three carcasses floating in Duck Lake
