Adult bird, well viewed, and pictures taken. Observed from and mostly on Iowa side and photos are from Iowa side, but briefly flew into Illinois waters. Size of RBGU, slightly smaller. Backside is just a shade darker than RBGU. Bill is same length but slimmer with more curved culmen and solid yellow. Legs are yellow and slightly slimmer than RBGU. Eye is dark. Head is white with dark gray wash, extending to upper breast and darkest on sides of neck. Presumably the same bird present about a week ago in Southwest Wisconsin and Dubuque, Iowa.
