Known location. Adult roosting about 10 meters up, roughly 400 m upstream from the adventure playground. Very close to Etham North Reserve synthetic pitch. Very large owl. Relatively small head compared to the body (for an owl). Dark chocolate brown back and head. Bold white spots on back and some small white streaks on the forehead just above the bill. Underparts off-white with bold, chocolate brown barring across the breast and belly. Bill grayish. Irises yellow. Photos to follow.
