**very rare, first SWVA record, with a group of Herring and Ring-billed gulls on rocks in the middle of the river. Clearly stood out as a dark mantled gull, bright yellow legs, slightly smaller than AHGU, and slimmer with a long primary extension, larger than RBGU. Photos tba
