Scarce seasonal migrants. Small,frosty grayish/brown finches pale undersides with dark streaking of flanks. Reddish wash on breasts of two observed males. Distinct red forecrowns, black faced and stubby yellow bills. Foraging in recently reported area along Lilly Pond trail on birch tree catkins.
