I observed two different female Rufous-backed Redstarts, each in a distinct location. Initially, I thought it might be the same bird moving between sites. However, during my rounds of observation, each bird consistently remained in its own spot. I then checked both locations more than six times, within less than a minute—the time it would take for a bird to move from one site to the other—to confirm that they were indeed two separate individuals. Photographed both.
