An interesting, bright-eyed individual. Much paler than any other gull seen that day, although it stayed separate from the other gulls for closer comparison. Herring?

These two adults look almost like Herring Gull, but note darker upperparts cf. Herring, yellower legs and worn (summer) primaries lacking white tips. The juvenile in this photo may presumably be Lesser Black-backed.
