The amount of Dunlin was mind numbing all over the flats as it was low tide during our visit. I think the 2,500 estimate is low, as are most of the duck estimates with 50 or more. A few spots where the dunlin were a bit closer to the drive and less sun glare, we tried scoping unsuccessfully to find some other shorebird mixed in. The few other shorebirds we had were not with the dunlin.
