Entered as COHA but on adding the photo, eBird suggested it was a SSHA. I was uncertain while watching the bird, it having a small, juvenile/imm. head (streaky brown, yellow eyes) yet adult red bars on breast. Possible female, comparable in size to adult male COHA. I've seen very few perched SSHA, and never perched in my yard. Looking at my yard data, I have only reported one every 2 years or so. After it landed on the wire it sat for a long time, not mobbed, but other birds stayed hidden.
