Continuing bird found by JS yesterday at Davis Farmland. Small, cute, white goose with black wingtips. Darkish bill and head markings point to a juvenile bird. Body and back were nearly pure white which favors ROGO over SNGO. Grin line is minimal, but bill size and straightness of bill line trend toward hybrid to my eye. Others have noted that this is still within expected ROGO variation. After hanging out at Davis Farmland without any luck, decided to check some nearby water spots to see if I could locate the overnight roost. Since I had tried Bartlett Pond earlier I decided to give this a shot. As soon as I arrived I could hear many geese. Eventually spotted the ROGO deep up into a swampy area on the very south end of the pond. It slowly made its way out to the main part of pond for better views. Tried several different vantage points all of which appear to be private or part of a local business, the end of Great Pond Rd is the best location if the bird is on the main part of the pond.
