At least two of the four (or more) birds seen well. Blackish lateral throat markings that also extended dorsally framing the anterior edge of the sides of the breast; the lower half of these markings were particularly robust and dark. Back appeared fairly uniform (only faintly streaked on at least one). Gray head was somewhat pale, suggesting A.b. canescens subspecies.
