This area used to be under an ocean. Now it's a dry but the soil has high salinity. Many bird species hide in the grass and run along the ground. Walk in a wide line to flush up some birds, strategically moving them towards a tree or spot they can be easily seen. Don't step on the crunchy spots. That's important salt deposits.
