In the dead tree area adjacent to the marsh upriver from the landing- this is where it nested this past summer. This species stayed all last winter and could be seen near its nest cavity. See attached photo. I first spotted a rear end protruding from a cavity and then it ducked into and shortly existed and fled down into some shrubs, and short time it surfaced allowing the photo. I was quite far away.
