*Very Rare, especially inland and on the early side - with most East Coast records occurring later in the Fall (Oct-Nov); continuing molting juvenile for day 3. Seen foraging along Eastern edge of reflecting pool. Fearless and happy to approach for photos. From RNPH, by thicker bill with pale base. From adult REPH, by more extensive dark cap and tertials with pale fringing to scapulars. DC bird!
