Fantastic find by Augie Kramer in a regretfully under-birded park. Surprisingly a county record (at least on eBird), in spite of being one of the more regular western vagrants in our region. Foraging with a seasonally nice mixed group of birds in a patch of elm trees. Warbler with a yellow face and breast; breast with some streaking; strongly contrasting dark ear patch; white lower part of the belly and vent. Female-type plumage with no black throat. Occasionally making chip calls.
