觀察細節

Large, mostly brown, round-headed owl, seen by many. Gray face with obvious facial discs, dark eyes, and yellow bill. Back and tail are brown with white markings that give it a "barred" look. Undersides are light colored with brown streaks. At times the owl would preen, showing it's massive feet. Ruled out Great Horned Owl by lack of ear tufts, head shape, eye color, and overall color and patten.
