This afternoon I noticed a small warbler foraging along the top of our blooming Cape Honeysuckle. It was noticeably smaller than a nearby Orange-crowned Warbler. For a few minutes it continued to feed in the hedge, revealing only a fine bill, pale gray back and short tail before finally dropping down to bathe. Photos revealed rusty upper tail and crown.
