Continuing in field across street from HV parking lot. See photo. Red-tail sized buteo but slightly slimmer profile. Dark chocolatey brown overall, mottled with white and heavy dark streaking below. Wide white streaks above shoulder. Wide white line above eye extending to white forehead. Dark line through eye above pale cheek, heavy dark malar with white throat.
