Very Rare. First LI record. Great find by Christie Tashjian. First observed at Planting Fields State Park on Monday, November 3rd. Seen today by Jeannie Cimorelli at nearby Beaver Lake. Appeared slightly smaller than most adjacent Canada Geese. Brown neck and head. The neck was short and thick.. Short, dark bill with orange sub-terminal band. Bright, orange legs were seen in photos of standing bird by others. Photos to follow.
