Relatively small owl that flew into meadow area at dusk. Size struck me and the ability to land on top these small alpine larches immidiatly. Ear tufts were striking and my initial impression was more towards long-eared owl. Review of facial disk and length/angle of tufts with photos and reference material match short-eared. Very actively flew around meadow, landing on different trees for about 15-20 mins before moving on. Seen from a close distance, about 10-20 m away
