Continuing in reed patch on SW corner of bridge. First noticed Sora, then Ryan Pierce spotted Virginia Rail soon after around 6 PM. Small, colorful rail. Bird appears to have a bill injury and possibly a wing injury, but foraged normally (and quickly), darting in and out of reeds compared to the slower and more deliberate-foraging Sora. Seen several times before sunset, even took a few seconds to bathe and preen in a shallow pool.
