Seems late. Foraging in dogwoods. The bird was making an occasional scolding sound as it foraged. The sound is quite familiar as they breed in my yard. The bird was small with an uplifted striped tail and finely striped wings. It popped in and out of the brush and was smaller than the white-throated sparrows nearby.
