觀察細節

In deciduous trees where path first becomes more overgrown, in association with two YBCUs. 36.03199, -78.74178. Watched closely for ten minutes, but vanished afterwards, and could not re-find. Drab cuckoo with black bill, and pale buffy throat lacking contrast with nape. Tail appeared to be plain underneath, lacking any obvious white spots, and likewise on upper side of tail. Orbital ring yellow-orange, unlike blue that juvenile YBCU would have (Sibley says juvenile BBCU should be 'pale greenish', but that's not what I see in his illustration, or going through photos in the Macaulay Library).
