Two flocks of about 20, plus numerous individuals and groups up to 5. One came over to the path and acted like he was defending his territory against me. Lots of vocalizations, a few half-hearted bluff charges, and escorted me away from his spot for about 50’ when I left. Came within a foot of my boots at one point. Ignored several other passing hikers to focus on me.
