Ongoing personal project on FOSPs in the SD County area. There was a large number of FOSPs at this site (early October), apparent immediately from a fair bit of singing and chipping. Clear majority were thick-billed types, with at least 9 individuals detected, most of which were photo-cooperative (first 7 photos). At least three sooty types were detected (seen and heard chipping), all in the denser vegetation near the pond; only one was remotely photo-cooperative (last photo). Overall, similar to the FOSP situation here last fall.
