Winter plumage adult on Keyhaven Lagoon, mostly at rest but occasionally feeding. Intermediate in size between nearby BHGs and Little Gull. Large black spot behind eye. Black bill. Mantle clearly a shade darker than BHG. Short pastel pink legs. Grey hindneck apparent at certain angles. Black primary tips. At ~19:17 left the lagoon with most of the BHGs, at which point the diagnostic wing pattern was apparent - discrete, thin black edge to primaries with a white 'wedge' on outerwing. On reviewing digiscoped record shots, I did happen to get a shot showing the underside of the primaries.
