Walking and pecking at far water's edge at Seneca Flats in sometimes frantic jerky motions, not swimming, all gray juvenile, white eyebrow and belly/undersides, darker gray and brown pattern on wings, dark cap, orange/yellow legs, straight black bill, solitary for the most part, reported by others, pics.
