Continuing rarity. Stout med length, yellow/orange, downturned bill. Mostly a gray/white overall with dark primary edging, apparent on folded wing. Very dark brown skin at the base of the bill. Mingling with the pelican made it more difficult to locate. It appeared to be foraging in a small willow at times. Something spooked all the birds and mixed them all up and could not relocate. I was scoping from the eastern side, near the elevated pump house. Poor photos are available.
