Amazing find by Nathan Hood this morning. Tall shorebird, about the size of a GRYE. Sooty gray, almost black, some white speckling on the back, reddish base to a long, straight bill, broken white eye-ring, dark legs, red at the knee joints. White underwing and upper rump seen once when it flapped and jumped a couple of feet. Record photos attached.
