We were alerted to the bird by its alarm call. Looking through a window I could see 2 hawk- like birds. By the time I made it outside only one bird was visible and was continuing to circle higher. I went back in and grabbed my camera. Falcon with long pointed wings, and a prominent dark face patch. Dark below except for its face and neck. Terrible photo attached was taken with my cellphone of the back of my camera. By the time I managed the photo the bird was incredibly high up. I was thinking, new yard bird! But in fact, new Muskoka bird for us.
